The Trump campaign reacted Wednesday after Vice President Kamala Harris shared a town hall on CNN.
The statement entitled the response, “SHE HAS NO CLUE,” adding that the event was “an unmitigated disaster.”
“As if voters needed more reasons to reject Kamala Harris, her town hall on CNN tonight provided them ample material — a clinic in lies, smears, and radical leftism cloaked in word salad,” the statement read.
“It was meant to rehabilitate her image with the friendliest possible host on the friendliest possible network — but instead, it was her biggest implosion to date,” it continued.
The statement cited several damaging moments for Harris during the broadcast. Among them were concerns that she could not differentiate herself from President Joe Biden, simply responding, “I represent a new generation.”
When asked why she has not done the things she claims she will accomplish as president, Harris answered with a “word salad.”
“I’m pointing out things that need to be done that haven’t been done that need to be done,” Harris told CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
Harris also offered a concerning non-response on the border crisis and immigration discussion.
“Under Donald Trump, you criticized the wall more than 50 times. You called it stupid, useless, and a medieval vanity project. Is a border wall stupid?” Anderson asked.
“Let’s talk about Donald Trump and that border wall. Ha ha ha ha!” she answered.
Her response also called for mass amnesty for the illegal immigrants who have entered during the Biden-Harris administration, which could include over 20 million people.
Harris also responded to a question about inflation and the high cost of grocery prices with socialist-style price fixing. She also did not address that the record increases have occurred during her time as vice president.
The struggle during the CNN town hall comes shortly after a pre-recorded MSNBC interview during which Harris also failed to answer numerous questions. She also continues to face controversy over “60 Minutes” editing her response to a question about American support for Israel.
President Donald Trump held two events on Wednesday, including a roundtable with Latino leaders in Florida and a meeting with faith leaders in Zebulon, Georgia. On Tuesday, Trump held a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, where former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard announced that she was joining the Republican Party.
