CEO of Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), Devin Nunes, praised Truth Social, calling it the “most important creation in Donald Trump’s whole career.”
“With the Biden administration’s involvement and the FBI’s involvement with all of these tech companies, can you imagine where we would be had Donald Trump not went out and created TRUTH Social?” Nunes asked in an interview with Just the News.
“We would be in a very, very dark spot,” he added. “And it is very possible that maybe, just maybe, the most important creation in Donald Trump’s whole career will be the creation of TRUTH Social.”
Truth Social rolled out earlier this year as a free speech social media alternative to pro-censorship platforms, such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
The platform has continually evolved and expanded, with new upgrades and features set to roll out in the near future, Nunes teased while speaking with RSBN during Texas’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in August.
“We’re about halfway through all the features that we want to build out this year,” Nunes said. “So, features will just continue to roll out as we build.”
“If you’re on Truth Social now, you know we have a spot there for direct messaging. So…we’re beta testing it now. And like I tell everybody, we’re going to roll out new features when we’re ready, on our own timeline, so that we’re not beholden to tech tyrants to shut us down,” he added.
Truth Social is currently available via web app or iOS, and it recently managed to work with Samsung, to get the app available in the Galaxy store, Just the News further reported.
“We went to work with Samsung. They control about 60% or more of the Android market — about 30% of the entire market. We weren’t sure how easy they would be to work with. But we went out, we worked with them, and boom — we got it done. We’re now on the Samsung Galaxy store,” Nunes said, asserting that even large corporations are fed up with Big Tech’s blatant disregard for freedom of speech.
“I think that what this shows me is that a lot of these companies are deciding whether or not they’re going to be with Big Tech tyranny or not. I think where you see Samsung coming down with this quick approval for us is great. And granted, it’s not across all of Android, but it is in the largest segment of Android,” the former congressman added.
Nunes concluded by championing Truth Social for helping Americans to “get their voice back and for them to be able to exercise their constitutional right of freedom of speech.”
President Trump also recently credited Truth Social for Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro’s advancement to the runoff election, saying, “Give Truth Social a lot of credit for the incredible win for President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil in making it into the run off for a new term, which will take place against a Radical Left Lunatic on October 30th,” per RSBN.
“My Endorsement of him was done exclusively on Truth, and it had a spectacular impact for a spectacular man, and President. Vote Bolsonaro!” Trump wrote.
