The people of New York are fed up with the leadership in their state and in Washington D.C., and they are ready to embrace an alternative to years of failure and chaos.
This week, President Trump will visit the South Bronx in New York, and days ahead of his appearance, locals showed up in style over the weekend to show their support for the 45th president’s reelection campaign.
South Bronx residents marched in the streets for Trump, illustrating the locals’ enthusiasm heading into the 2024 general election season. Among the supporters, a large banner read, “THE SOUTH BRONX FOR DONALD TRUMP.”
NCLU Communication Director and writer Paul Ingrassia wrote on X, “The people in the Bronx are feeling represented for the first time in GENERATIONS. And it’s all thanks to Donald John Trump! Amazing!”
On Saturday, a woman sporting an Air Force veteran t-shirt took the microphone in the Bronx District, declaring, “I am extremely proud to be an American. I am extremely proud to say that I will be voting for Trump in November!”
In a video captured and posted on social media, she continued, “This will be the first time that this has been brought to the South Bronx. I lived right here in the South Bronx for 15 years…this is the poorest, most depressing…most high-crime rate area within the five boroughs of New York City. How dare anyone think that they have the luxury of not being able to support someone who is offering them a hand UP and not a hand DOWN.”
She noted that Trump would fix NYC’s problems and create tremendous job opportunities for the community. “He will give people pathways out of poverty, up on their own feet, to be independent!” she said.
President Trump will visit the South Bronx on Thursday, May 23, at 6:00 p.m. ET. Per his campaign, “The Empire State, a place near to President Trump’s heart, has been decimated by Biden. President Trump will ease the financial pressures placed on households and re-establish law and order in New York!”
