President Trump recognizes the unique issues and concerns of Asian American voters, especially in the areas of immigration, education and the economy.

The Asian American voting bloc is one of the fastest-growing voter groups in the United States, which represents a wide array of different backgrounds, including Filipino, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese, to name a few.

Trump understands the Asian American community consists of a diversity of cultures and languages.

Why does the RNC platform matter for Asian American voters?

President Trump’s RNC platform addresses issues particularly relevant to all Americans, including Asian American voters.

The RNC platform promotes Trump’s Make America Great Again initiative through educational opportunities, advocates for support for small businesses and emphasizes public safety through law and order to safeguard communities against high crime. This platform will pave the way to restoring the American dream for all Americans.

Creating a sense of community one group at a time

The key for Trump to win over Asian American voters is through community engagement by building relationships with respected civic leaders and business owners as discussed by Nevada GOP chairman and President Trump’s senior advisor, Michael McDonald during the weekly Filipino conservative podcast, Open Forum.

Rachel Puaina, a Clark County Republican Asian American community leader and former Clark County School District A candidate, promotes Chairman Mcdonald’s forward-thinking approach to building a more inclusive and diverse Republican outreach for Asian American voters. She explains:

I want to plan meetings to reach out to the growing Asian/Pacific Islander community to get them connected or familiarized with various groups, campaigns, etc so they can feel like they’re doing something and not just watching their community and their country go in a direction they’re not happy with.

Fostering a genuine sense of community among the different Asian American groups to address the concerns will be effective in spreading President Trump’s message of family, faith, entrepreneurship and educational opportunities.

Moreover, effective communication by providing campaign materials and social media posts in multiple languages is essential for non-English speaking Asian American voters.

Recognizing the collective voice and power of building lasting community connections by activating fed-up Asian American voters will be essential to winning back the White House for President Trump.
