A recent report found that despite Democrats’ efforts to woo the nation into supporting four more years under Joe Biden, Americans did not appear to be enthusiastic about the prospects of his second term.

Evidently, The Wall Street Journal’s latest survey found that the vast majority of Americans did not trust the incumbent to handle the nation’s most pressing issues, conveying how they would fare better under a second Trump administration.

According to a survey of 4,700 registered voters, President Donald Trump scored best on the economy, receiving a 20-point lead (54 percent to 34 percent) in favor of his fiscal policies over those of Biden.

On the issue of inflation, President Trump scored similarly, with a 53 percent favorability rating against 33 percent for the incumbent—a testament to Americans’ dissatisfaction with the increase in costs over the last four years.

As it relates to foreign policy, respondents of the survey reported that President Trump would handle global affairs better than his opponent, specifically the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas wars and the U.S. southern border crisis.

In handling the war between Russia and Ukraine, 46 percent of the respondents said President Trump, who has vowed to end the conflict within “24 hours” if elected, to handle the issue, while 37 percent said Biden was better suited.

Additionally, 45 percent found the 45th president the better of the two to handle the war between Israel and Hamas, with 31 percent for Biden, and 52 percent felt him to be a better overseer of the southern border, compared to just 32 percent for the incumbent.

Nearly half of the respondents (48 percent) also claimed President Trump had better mental fitness than Joe Biden, who himself could not even crack one-third in this category (28 percent), the poll found.

Interestingly, Biden only received higher marks than the presumptive Republican nominee in two categories: abortion and protecting democracy.

45 percent of respondents stated Biden would better handle abortion policy, compared to 33 percent for the 45th president, and also nearly edged out President Trump (43 percent to 42 percent) regarding the handling of democracy.

While November’s presidential election is still several months out, Americans do not appear to be buying into another four more years of Joe Biden.
