President Donald Trump announced on Friday that the United States will hold a massive parade in Washington, D.C., to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army.
The parade will be held on Saturday, June 14, as part of the larger celebration of events surrounding America’s 250th birthday in 2026.
“I am proud to announce that we will be hosting a magnificent Parade to honor the United States Army’s 250th Birthday, on Saturday, June 14th, in Washington, D.C.,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“For two and a half centuries, our brave soldiers have fought, bled, and died to keep us FREE, and now we will honor them with a wonderful Parade, one that is worthy of their service and sacrifice. Americans across the Nation are invited to attend. RSVP at america250.org/,” he continued.
Guest entry will begin at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and the main parade and celebration will officially kick off at 6:30 p.m. The event will conclude at 9:30 p.m.
The parade will be held along Constitution Avenue NW, stretching between 15th Street and 23rd Street. Guests are encouraged to gather along the parade route or enjoy the festivities from the scenic Washington Monument Grounds. Tickets can be requested online.
According to the event’s description, the parade will “Stand in tribute to generations of American soldiers who have defended freedom, upheld our Constitution, and carried the torch of liberty around the world. With President Donald J. Trump in attendance, this historic celebration will feature powerful displays of patriotism, including flyovers, military vehicles, living history reenactments, and moving tributes to the courage, sacrifice and commitment of our men and women in uniform.”
The event aims to ” honor the past, celebrate the present, and inspire the future of American service.”
The event was also announced one day before the president shared commencement remarks at West Point on Saturday.
“Your experience here at West Point has been anything but easy. — came for duty. You came to serve your country and you came to show yourselves, your family, and the world that you are among the smartest, toughest, strongest, most lethal warriors ever to walk on this planet. Looking out at all of you today, I can proudly say, mission accomplished,” Trump told the graduates.
