President Donald Trump celebrated progress with Chinese President Xi Jinping amid the War in Iran. In a Truth Social post, Wednesday morning, he noted that his plan to permanently open the Strait of Hormuz has strengthened relations with China and, “They have agreed not to send weapons to Iran.”

“President Xi will give me a big, fat, hug when I get there in a few weeks,” he joked about his upcoming trip to China, but then added, “We are working together smartly, and very well!”

This comes at a critical time in the War in Iran, as negotiations with the Islamic nation have stalled. The Trump administration has repeatedly attempted negotiations with Iran, and now the clock is ticking to finalize a peace deal during the current two-week ceasefire.

On Monday, President Trump announced that he has ordered a blockade of the Straight of Hormuz after Iran refused to agree to denuclearize. Iran’s growing nuclear capabilities have been a serious concern for Westerners in recent years.

According to the Council on Foreign Relations, Iran has been creating and utilizing secret nuclear facilities for nearly 25 years. In 2006, concerns grew to such a degree that the UN imposed its first nuclear sanctions on Iran, and “Iran’s nuclear program has since been the subject of intense international debate and diplomacy.”

RSBN reported that 10,000 U.S. troops established the blockade on Monday, preventing any ships from entering for 24 hours.

Now, as President Trump continues to put pressure on Iran, he is working with world leaders like Xi Jinping to ensure that Iran’s former allies also work with the United States to end the War in Iran.
