President Donald Trump leads all current and prospective candidates in Florida as the presidential campaign season inches closer.

According to a recent Victory Polling survey, among all current and potential candidates, Trump was at 43 percent while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was at 35 percent. All other candidates were no higher than 4 percent.

Trump also led DeSantis, his toughest potential challenger, in a head-to-head matchup. Specifically, in a two-way race between Trump and DeSantis, Trump was at 47 percent while DeSantis was at 32 percent.

Not only is President Trump leading in the Sunshine State, but he has also received several important endorsements in Florida. As reported by Time, “In recent weeks, both Reps. Anna Paulina Luna and Byron Donalds have endorsed Trump, joining Rep. Matt Gaetz in supporting the former president over DeSantis.”

As reported by Fox News, Donalds was quoted as saying:

“There is only one leader at this time in our nation’s history who can seize the moment and deliver what we need — to get us back on track, provide strength and resolve, and Make America Great Again. That is why I’m honored to endorse President Donald J. Trump for President in 2024, and I ask my fellow Americans to join me”

Additionally, Florida Republican Rep. Cory Mills also recently endorsed Trump. According to the Washington Examiner, quoting Mills, “I think that what’s happening in New York is a very unifying event. We need to stop the infighting and come together and unify. And I think right now the person that we need to be unifying behind is President Trump.”

Trump is also leading DeSantis in a head-to-head matchup on a national level. According to a recent Morning Consult poll, Trump was at 56 percent while DeSantis was at 23 percent.

The first GOP debate for the primary presidential race will take place in August in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
