President Donald Trump said a “whole civilization will die tonight” as the deadline on Iran draws to a close in its final hours and he prepares to make good on a threat to end Iranian aggression amid Operation Epic Fury.

“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” the president wrote in a Truth Social post early Tuesday morning.

He continued, “I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?”

This comes just two days after he threatened to blow up the power plants and bridges within Iran if American demands are not met by Tuesday evening – primarily, opening the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement delivered with a hefty dose of mockery, President Trump wrote on Easter Sunday, “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”

The clock has been ticking in Iran ever since, as the nation faces, presumably, the destruction of integral civilian infrastructure. According to CBS, the Iranian regime has been calling on its youngest citizens to form human shields around domestic power plants to deter military strikes from the United States. Strikes from both the U.S. and Israel on the region have also continued.

In the president’s Tuesday statement, he said that the U.S. would “find out tonight” whether Iran would agree to the terms laid out by American diplomats as negotiators push for a ceasefire. So far, the situation has been somewhat deadlocked, although the situation could change at any moment.

“47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!” President Trump concluded in his statement.
