Following the announcement of the passing of Ivana Trump, 45th President Donald Trump issued a statement remembering his first wife as “a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life.”

As previously reported, Ivana Trump, President Donald Trump’s ex-wife with whom he shares three children, including Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump, passed away at 73.

Authorities reportedly responded to a call for a person going into cardiac arrest Thursday afternoon, ABC News reported. Officials later revealed she died of natural causes.

President Trump took to Truth Social to announce Ivana’s death, writing, “I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City.”

“She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life,” he continued. “Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!”
