During an interview with Americano Media’s Maria Herrera Mellado this week, President Donald Trump gave an update on his future political ambitions.
President Trump indicated that he would announce his decision after the midterm elections. However, he hinted that he believes a lot of people would be very happy with his decision.
If President Trump decides to run for office again, his decision will make most Republican voters very happy. According to a new Morning Consult/Politico survey, “56 percent of Republican voters said they would vote for Trump in a hypothetical 2024 presidential primary.”
The survey also suggested that Trump is well ahead of all other potential Republican contenders that he would easily defeat if he ran.
Trump would also do very well in a potential matchup against Joe Biden or Kamala Harris.
As recently reported by The Hill, a new Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey indicates:
“If the 2024 presidential election were held right now, the poll finds Trump getting 47 percent support compared to 41 percent for Biden. Twelve percent of voters are undecided.
Vice President Harris performs even worse in a hypothetical match-up with Trump. Forty-nine percent said they would choose Trump, while 38 percent said they would support Harris.”
With the midterm elections seven months away, Republicans expect to regain control of one of both chambers of Congress. Americans can expect to hear from President Trump on his 2024 plans after the elections this November.
