President Trump addressed a massive crowd at a “Get Out The Vote Rally” in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Saturday, just three days ahead of the state’s primary election.
During his speech, Trump highlighted the ways that his administration secured the southern border, comparing his successes to Biden’s failures.
He recounted his recent visit to Eagle Pass, Texas, where he met with Republican Governor Greg Abbott to “witness the total devastation that crooked Joe Biden has unleashed.”
He explained that the border was “an open and gushing wound” and that “it’s pouring drugs, gangs, terrorists, and millions and millions of illegal aliens into our country.” He blasted Biden for challenging the measures Governor Abbott had taken to protect the state of Texas.
Trump told the crowd, “When I’m president, instead of trying to send Texas a restraining order, I will send them reinforcements,” to which the crowd responded with loud cheers.
He discussed Biden’s plan for mass amnesty and his version of “border security.” He shifted to comparing his and Biden’s dueling visits to the southern border on February 29, noting that Biden visited “an area where there is no problem,” while he visited an area that was a hotspot for cartel activity.
Trump said that Biden was not planning to go to the border “until he heard that I was going.” He referenced a viral video circulated on social media depicting a side-by-side comparison of their visits, chuckling at Biden’s confusion about where he should stand during his visit.
Perhaps most importantly, he told the crowd how the Biden administration was now referring to the illegal aliens as “newcomers.” He explained how the so-called border security bill would “grant asylum to millions and millions of illegals.”
He shook his head in disbelief and said, “Oh boy, oh boy. We’re gonna win by the biggest margins, I think, in history.”
