President Donald Trump will return once again this weekend to the Hawkeye State to court fired-up Republican voters ahead of the rapidly approaching Iowa caucus in January, his campaign has announced.
The president will first deliver remarks in Waterloo, Iowa, on Saturday, Oct. 7, at a Team Trump Iowa “Commit to Caucus Event” at the National Cattle Congress. He is scheduled to speak at 2:30 p.m. ET.
Following his appearance at the Team Trump event, he will speak in Cedar Rapids and give a speech to MAGA supporters at 5:00 p.m. ET. This second speech will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cedar Rapids Convention Center.
President Trump is powerfully leading in the GOP presidential primary election race, boasting double-digit gaps between himself and other Republican candidates. A recent mainstream poll of likely Republican caucus-goers from CBS illustrated Trump’s 30-point lead over the runner-up, Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla.
This past weekend, Trump visited Ottumwa, Iowa, where he spoke to locals about his forward-looking Agenda47 policy platform and focused heavily on his plans to protect American agriculture and ethanol production.
