President Donald Trump called on Kentucky voters Sunday to remove Rep. Thomas Massie from office, describing the Republican congressman as a “bum” and a “true negative force.”

In a post on Truth Social, the president criticized Massie’s voting record and urged voters in Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District to support a different candidate in Tuesday’s election.

“Bad Congressman Tom Massie voted against Tax Cuts, the Border Wall, our Military and Law Enforcement,” President Trump wrote.

“Actually, he voted against almost everything that is good. The Worst Republican Congressman in History. Kentucky, vote the bum out on Tuesday. We can’t live with this troublemaker for another two years. He is a true negative force!!!” he continued.

The president has repeatedly endorsed Massie’s Republican primary challenger, Ed Gallrein, a former Navy SEAL and Army Ranger.

Earlier this year, President Trump praised Gallrein in another Truth Social post, calling him “a true Patriot” and an American hero.

“The incredible people of Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District, who want desperately to get rid of Thomas Massie, the Worst ‘Republican’ Congressman we have had in many years, gave us a mandate to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he wrote in January. “The person that will help us do the job, and do it right, is Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, Fifth Generation Kentucky Farmer, and American Hero, Captain Ed Gallrein, a true Patriot.”

Gallrein argued in January that President Trump has limited time to implement his political agenda and needs stronger support from congressional Republicans.

“The clock is running,” Gallrein said. “The president knows this from his first term. He’s going to only have a limited amount of time to implement his agenda. And the dynamics, look how fast President Trump is moving.”

Gallrein also contrasted his background with Massie’s tenure in Congress.

“Kentucky voters have to decide whether they want a native Kentuckian who’s a generational farmer” and a “career Navy SEAL officer,” Gallrein said, “or whether they want a career politician that puts self above service.”
