President Donald Trump on Thursday urged Iran to negotiate an end to the conflict after a U.S. airstrike destroyed a major bridge near Tehran.

The president posted a video on Truth Social showing the aftermath of the strike on the B1 highway bridge, a key route linking the Iranian capital with the nearby city of Karaj.

“The biggest bridge in Iran comes tumbling down, never to be used again — Much more to follow! IT IS TIME FOR IRAN TO MAKE A DEAL BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE, AND THERE IS NOTHING LEFT OF WHAT STILL COULD BECOME A GREAT COUNTRY!” President Trump wrote.

The B1 Bridge, which had not yet opened to traffic, was described as one of the tallest in the Middle East. It stretches approximately 1,148 yards and features columns rising to 149 yards, according to Iranian state-run media reports on its completion.

The structure appeared to still be under construction at the time of the strikes, and Iranian state media said eight people were killed and several others were injured.

The strike marks the latest effort in the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran, which began in February. U.S. officials have said recent operations have targeted infrastructure tied to Iran’s military and logistics networks.

Iranian state media warned the country could retaliate against U.S. allies in the region and reported that military officials have identified infrastructure targets, including bridges, in allied nations.

Iran has previously launched attacks on U.S. bases and Israeli targets in response to strikes on its territory. U.S. officials have warned that Tehran could expand those efforts to additional locations in the region.

The conflict has raised concerns about a broader regional escalation as both sides continue to exchange strikes and threats while diplomatic efforts remain uncertain.
