President Donald Trump recently released his list of 20 promises to America that will Make America Great Again. The promises are also part of the official 2024 Republican Party Platform.
The first promise is to “Seal the border and stop the migrant invasion.” Illegal border crossings have surged to record levels under Biden, leading to Trump’s second promise to “Carry out the largest deportation operation in American history.”
Unvetted illegal migrants have been allowed to stay in the country due to Biden’s radical border policies. Trump plans to reinstate his past policies to return order to the southern border.
Trump’s third promise is to “End inflation and make America affordable again.” Inflation has wreaked havoc on Americans for more than three years. Reckless spending by the federal government, including the Inflation Reduction Act, has exacerbated and prolonged the problem.
The fourth promise is to “Make America the dominant energy producer in the world, by far!” Trump’s energy policies provided good-paying, American jobs in the oil production industry and a continuous increase in American oil production.
The fifth promise is to “Stop outsourcing, and turn the United States into a manufacturing superpower.” American manufacturing has led to countless innovations and provided good-paying jobs to blue-collar workers. Over the years, companies have moved operations overseas or to Mexico for cheaper labor, and President Trump plans to change that.
The sixth promise is “Large tax cuts for workers, and no tax on tips!” Trump’s tax cuts benefitted middle, working-class Americans the most, and he plans to expand upon that during his second term. Biden and Harris campaigned on ending those tax cuts. Harris cast the tie-breaking vote to pass the Inflation Reduction Act, which provided $80 billion in additional funding to the Internal Revenue Service.
In turn, the IRS proposed the Service Industry Tip Compliance Agreement (SITCA) program, which included “monitoring of employer compliance based on actual annual tip revenue and charge tip data from an employer’s point-of-sale system, and allowance for adjustments in tipping practices from year to year.”
Trump’s seventh promise is to “Defend our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, and our fundamental freedoms, including freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the right to keep and bear arms.”
In recent years, Americans have been censored and targeted for expressing their beliefs. Democrats and their allies in the media have demanded social media companies censor so-called “misinformation,” which is mostly anything that goes against the prescribed Democratic narrative, even if true.
Democrats also continue to push for more gun laws that trample on American’s Second Amendment rights. Earlier this month, Biden’s official account on X, formerly Twitter, wrote, “It’s time to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, like we did before. It’s time to establish universal background checks. And it’s time to end immunity for the gun lobby.”
Trump’s eighth promise is to “Prevent World War Three, restore peace in Europe and in the Middle East, and build a great Iron Dome Missile Defense Shield over the entire country – all made in America.” Biden’s time in office has led to global instability in many parts of the world.
Trump’s ninth promise is to “End the weaponization of government against the American people.” Countless instances have occurred since Biden took office, including the targeting of parents who complained at school board meetings.
The tenth promise is to “Stop the migrant crime epidemic, demolish the foreign drug cartels, crush gang violence, and lock up violent offenders.” Radical Democratic policies have allowed these problems to prevail, especially in some of the nation’s largest cities.
Trump’s eleventh promise is to “Rebuild our cities, including Washington D.C., making them safe, clean, and beautiful again.”
The twelfth promise is to “Strengthen and modernize our military, making it, without question, the strongest and most powerful in the world.” Trump took great pride during his presidency in the work he did to rebuild the depleted military. The current leadership has placed diversity, equity, and inclusion at the forefront.
The thirteenth promise is to “Keep the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency.” Although it remains the dominant global currency, many countries have chosen to move away from relying on the U.S. dollar.
The fourteenth promise is to “Fight for and protect Social Security and Medicare with no cuts, including no changes to the retirement age.” President Trump has vowed to protect these programs and has continuously warned Americans that the Democrat’s radical immigration policies will destroy them.
The fifteenth promise is to “Cancel the electric vehicle mandate and cut costly and burdensome regulations.” Trump believes that Americans should not be forced to drive a certain type of vehicle, but rather choose whether they want a gas-powered, hybrid or electric vehicle.
The sixteenth promise is to “Cut federal funding for any school pushing Critical Race Theory (CRT), radical gender ideology, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children.” Concerns related to gender ideology and sexual content have grown nationwide under the Biden-Harris administration.
The seventeenth promise is to “Keep men out of women’s sports.” Many states have passed legislation to protect women athletes, but many Democrats see no problem with allowing biological men to compete against women.
The eighteenth promise is to “Deport pro-Hamas radicals and make our college campuses safe and patriotic again.” According to a letter sent from Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, U.S. law “prohibits supporters of terrorism entry into the United States.” Hamas is designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the United States.
The nineteenth promise is to “Secure our elections, including same day voting, voter identification, paper ballots, and proof of citizenship.” Many states have tightened election laws and implemented new procedures, but federal action has not been taken to secure American elections.
The twentieth promise from President Trump is to “Unite our country by bringing it to new and record levels of success.”
