President Donald Trump issued a patriotic Fourth of July message on Thursday, including a video from his last Independence Day in the White House and a statement blasting Joe Biden.
Trump shared two posts highlighting the nation’s birthday that stood in strong contrast with the brief message shared on social media by Biden.
The video included an edited clip from Trump’s speech at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota on July 4, 2020. He vowed the monument would never be desecrated, with the scene showing patriotic images of U.S. military planes, soldiers and flags alongside Trump and the First Lady.
The video ended with Trump’s words, “America’s future is in our hands. And ladies and gentlemen, the best is yet to come.”
A second post focused on attacks against Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Happy Fourth of July to all, including to our highly incapable “President,” who uses Prosecutors to go after his Political Opponent, who choked like a dog during the Debate but tried to pretend it was ‘International Travel’ (only 12 days rest!) and, when that gig was up, he blamed it on a ‘cold.’ Therefore, why would anyone say he’s cognitively challenged?” he posted.
“Also, respects to our potentially new Democrat Challenger, Laffin’ Kamala Harris. She did poorly in the Democrat Nominating process, starting out at Number Two, and ending up defeated and dropping out, even before getting to Iowa, but that doesn’t mean she’s not a ‘highly talented’ politician! Just ask her Mentor, the Great Willie Brown of San Francisco,” Trump continued.
Trump’s statement also included strong words criticizing Special Counsel Jack Smith.
“Someone else that I have to compliment is a Deranged Biden Prosecutor named Jack Smith, who has become a Legend in his own mind for all of those cases he has lost,” he wrote.
“The Corrupt Prosecutors are working hard for Crooked Joe, but it will never be enough — MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump concluded.
The words concerning Smith come just days after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of presidential immunity, potentially upending Smith’s case against Trump and delaying the sentencing in the New York hush money case previously scheduled for July 11.
In contrast, Biden released a brief statement on social media for the Fourth of July.
“As we celebrate the Fourth of July, I’m grateful for the countless service members who are the backbone of who we are as a nation. Their service reminds us that democracy is never guaranteed—every generation must fight to maintain it,” his accounts on X and Instagram stated.
