President Trump’s speech at Mount Rushmore was right on the mark

In 2020, President Donald Trump delivered a powerful speech at Mount Rushmore. There, he stated:

“[O]ur nation is witnessing a merciless campaign to wipe out our history, defame our heroes, erase our values and indoctrinate our children. In our schools, our newsrooms, even our corporate boardrooms, there is a new far-left fascism that demands absolute allegiance. The violent mayhem we have seen in the streets and cities that are run by liberal Democrats in every case is the predictable result of years of extreme indoctrination and bias in education, journalism and other cultural institutions. Against every law of society and nature, our children are taught in school to hate their own country and to believe that the men and women who built it were not heroes, but that they were villains. The radical view of American history is a web of lies — all perspective is removed, every virtue is obscured, every motive is twisted, every fact is distorted and every flaw is magnified until the history is purged and the record is disfigured beyond all recognition.”

If only America had listened.

As Trump contemplates whether to seek a second term, Americans are living through the very problems he warned them about that day.

In public schools, children are learning to hate America and put American interests last. Some are being “shamed” through “lessons” about Critical Race Theory.

For example, during a press release last year, Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., cited numerous examples allegedly exposing Critical Race Theory in the nation’s schools, including:

“An elementary school in Cupertino, California forced third-graders to deconstruct their racial identities, then rank themselves according to their ‘power and privilege.’

A middle school in Springfield, Missouri, forced teachers to locate themselves on an ‘oppression matrix,’ claiming that white heterosexual Protestant males are inherently oppressors and must atone for their ‘covert white supremacy.’

The Arizona Department of Education created an ‘equity’ toolkit claiming that babies show the first signs of racism at three months old and that white children become ‘strongly biased in favor of whiteness’ by age five.”

Additional examples can be found here. School children are also being inundated and brainwashed with woke policies regarding gender, pronouns, and sexuality.

Parents are also being shut out when it comes to what their children are learning in the classroom. In some cases, discussed here and here, school officials allegedly helped children “transition” from one sex to another without notifying the parents. In other cases, minors were allegedly permitted to change their names and gender pronouns at school without parental consent and in accordance with a school district policy.

Absolute Allegiance

President Trump’s warning about absolute allegiance was also right on the mark. The Democrats in Congress demand it. There is no opportunity to think independently or to support the “other side.” A person who disagrees with their purported ideology or is critical of a Democrat in Congress is deemed to be sexist, racist, or rooted in hatred. Several examples can be found here. Things are no better with Big Tech and the major social media platforms, where conservative voices are regularly censored under the purported guise of “misinformation.”

Moreover, if someone disagrees with allowing Critical Race Theory in the classroom, the Voting Rights Act, court packing, abortion-on-demand at any time during pregnancy, erosion of the Second Amendment, illegal immigration, the existence of more than two genders, or any other Democrat-proposed bill, that person is deemed to be insensitive to the rights of all Americans.

Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.V., is a perfect example as he has faced criticism from members of his own party and the White House simply because he opposed one or more Democrat-proposed bills, such as Biden’s Build Back Better package. Various members of the Supreme Court were also threatened simply because of the nature of their recent ruling on Roe v. Wade.

When President Trump stood in front of Mount Rushmore, he warned Americans about what was happening throughout the country. While not all Democrats promote these divisive policies, most in Congress do. President Trump was right.

The Democrats’ radical view of America has taken a tremendous toll on this wonderful country to the point where it is becoming less recognizable. Come November, voters have the chance to elect leaders who will oppose these policies. If they fail to do so, the nation that many grew up loving will be an unrecognizable shell of its former self.
