Hundreds of energized college students at the University of Arizona this week chanted “WE WANT TRUMP” along with the rapper Lil Pump during a performance that reportedly took place on campus.
Video of the rapper leading the chant went viral online, with conservatives weighing in on the impact of seeing young, college-aged Americans unashamed to voice their support for the 45th president.
Trump ally and Arizona Republican U.S. Senate candidate Kari Lake wrote on X, “Rapper Lil Pump leads ‘We want Trump’ chant at the University of Arizona last night. ALL Arizonans are tired of the destructive Dems.”
Host of “Dear America,” Graham Allen, posited, “…The Red wave is coming…”
Lil Pump surprised everyone in 2020 when he endorsed President Donald Trump amid his reelection bid. According to Newsweek, he announced his endorsement on social media, heavily criticizing Joe Biden for what he predicted would be more tax increases.
While some may be surprised to see Arizona college students chanting, “WE WANT TRUMP,” recent polling has found that Joe Biden is remarkably unpopular with young voters.
As reported by RSBN, a Washington Post/ABC poll from this fall found that the 45th president was leading Biden by a whopping 20 points with voters under the age of 35. As inflation intensifies and the cost of living rises astronomically, young people are likely looking for an alternative to the catastrophic economic disaster that has besieged America.
The pressures of the failing economy were also reflected in a November NYT/Siena poll, which found that general U.S. voters had more confidence in Trump than Biden to handle the U.S. economy (22-point preference for Trump).
Going into the rapidly approaching GOP primary season, President Trump is the dominant candidate to win the nomination in 2024. According to new data from Cygnal, he holds a 51-point lead over the Republican field. No other candidate managed to score more than single-digit support in their poll.
