Elena Cardone, the wife of Grant Cardone of Cardone Capital, has started a GoFundMe in support of President Donald Trump as he is facing a nearly half-billion-dollar judgment at the behest of New York Judge Arthur Engoron.

The judgment and astronomical fine, which was handed down in February, have taken its toll on New York business as entrepreneurs and investors have signaled their intent to leave the state, citing the hostile environment in the wake of Trump’s legal battles.

Cardone Capital is just one of many businesses that are calling it quits in New York.

According to Fox Business, Grant Cardone explained, “We thought this year was the opportunity to come into Chicago, California and New York City. I’ve been waiting for 40 years now to invest in that marketplace. I was completely confident this was the year to come. When that ruling happened, it was like, pencils down. Don’t touch it. Don’t go there.”

President Trump has until Monday to post bond for an appeal. If he does not post the bond, New York State Attorney General Letitia James will likely move to seize some of his real estate assets in the state, which could include properties like Trump Tower.

Elena Cardone’s GoFundMe is titled, “Stand with Trump; Fund the $355M Unjust Judgment.”

With judgment interest, the total fine is more than $450 million, and the bond amount is nearly the same, per RSBN.

In her fundraiser description, Mrs. Cardone wrote, “The recent legal battles he faces are not just an attack on him, but an attack on the very ideals of fairness and due process that every American deserves. It’s a moment that calls into question the balance of justice and the application of law, disproportionately aimed at silencing a voice that has been at the forefront of advocating for American strength, prosperity, and security.”

She noted that standing with Trump represented “upholding the cause of every business owner and entrepreneur who believes in the fight against a system that increasingly seeks to penalize dissent and curb our freedoms.”

She went on to point out that the possibility of the government slapping a business owner with such a whopping fine should “terrify” entrepreneurial spirits, and added that her fundraiser wasn’t just about raising money.

“It’s about showing that when one of us is targeted for championing the values that make America great, he does not stand alone,” Cardone stated.

She further highlighted the fact that she and her husband were canceling “all future events in NY and halt all our real estate ventures there,” citing the unsafe environment for businesses at the present time.

As of Friday, Cardone’s fundraiser has brought in nearly $2 million for President Trump.
