Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., recently proclaimed victory again in a tight reelection race in her home state, edging out her Democrat opponent, Adam Frisch, by just a few hundred votes.
Per Fox News, the race came down to a razor-thin margin of 546 votes. Frisch conceded in November.
As reported by RSBN, Boebert addressed her supporters last month and spoke to her victory, heralding the soon-to-be Republican-controlled House of Representatives in D.C. “…with Republicans in control of the House of Representatives, we can focus on the issues that actually matter most, including getting inflation under control, increasing our domestic energy supply, securing the southern border, and being a strong check on the White House,” she said.
In a video posted on social media this week, Boebert announced that all of the necessary counties had completed their recounts, confirming her reelection. “I’m so thrilled that Republicans will now hold the gavel in the People’s House,” she stated. “And I’m thrilled to be representing you in that majority. Since the day I announced I was running for Congress, this has been about doing everything I can to help get our country back on track and put a hard stop to the hard left’s move toward socialism.”
Via Fox News, Boebert was one among 147 Republicans who voted against certifying the 2020 presidential election amid reports of irregularities and fraud.
Boebert continued in her video, promising to “be a good listener, to take a deep breath, and help take the temperature down in D.C. After all, the weight this responsibility of being in the majority holds requires discipline and targeted focus.”
She added, “We as Republicans must now prove that we deserve to be in the majority.”
In a final Twitter comment, Boebert also noted that the conservative policies of Republicans would “help all Americans to overcome the challenges we face so each of us has the opportunity to live our very best life.”
