President Donald Trump made a long-awaited appearance in Waukesha, Wisconsin on Wednesday afternoon, delivering a speech after being stuck for weeks in New York amidst an ongoing trial.
The president was greeted with lots of energy from the crowd, which was packed into a tight arena. “What a crowd – what a beautiful crowd!” Trump said upon taking the podium,
He declared, “With your help, we’re going to win Wisconsin this November, we’re going to defeat Crooked Joe Biden…and we’re going to make America GREAT AGAIN!”
The president continued, “Last week, we saw numbers showing clearly that the economy is crashing with the GDP growth plunging more than 50 percent…we’re now in Biden stagflation.”
He called stagflation “the worst,” and said that it “spells the death of the American dream and it doesn’t even include some of the horrible numbers we’re seeing” from poor countries across the world.
President Trump also slammed Joe Biden for vowing to “drench the middle class” in massive tax increases by eliminating the Trump-era tax cuts. Trump explained that single individuals earning $75,000 a year will see a tax increase of almost $2,000.
“73 percent of Americans of Americans are now living paycheck to paycheck – that’s the highest number ever recorded,” Trump continued.
The 45th president warned that raising taxes would “ultimately just lead to the destruction of our country.” However, he contrasted Biden’s failures with his own promise to bring back the economy roaring and strong in 2025 in a prospective Trump administration.
Trump stated, “With me in the White House, we will protect the Trump Tax Cuts for working families, and we will make our middle class richer, stronger, and more prosperous than ever before.”
“The Biden economic BUST will quickly be replaced by the Trump Economic BOOM,” Trump pledged.
The president seemed to enjoy his time on stage, and at one point, even stopped to autograph a hat for a supporter dressed up as Uncle Sam. The crowd exploded into chants of “Trump! Trump! Trump!”
The president joked, “Secret Service doesn’t love that stuff.”
