President Donald Trump’s 2024 bid for the White House has given rise to a unique phenomenon of unprecedented and broad support for his campaign from American voters on both sides of the aisle.
In the midst of raging legal battles and negative mainstream narratives, Trump continues to solidly trek his way through the political muck, gaining power from these attacks rather than losing it.
On Monday, Jan. 15, the great state of Iowa will kick off its long-awaited caucuses, which are more than likely to hand Trump his first big vindicating win of the 2024 GOP primary election cycle.
A new poll from ISU/Civiqs recently revealed that just days away from the caucuses, Trump is holding a 44-point lead over tied runner-up candidates Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.
Both Haley and DeSantis are stuck at 14 percent of Iowans’ support headed into the caucus.
According to Morning Consult, President Trump has captured 65 percent of nationwide support from Republican primary voters, leaving DeSantis and Haley in the dust and tied for second place, yet again. Both Haley and DeSantis accrued 10 percent of support in their poll, respectively.
In the general election, President Trump has continued to strengthen his lead over Joe Biden looking toward November, earning an eight-point lead over his Democrat opponent. This is no small feat, especially considering the level of political and legal battles that Trump has been up against over the past year.
In the past week, President Trump attended two different courtroom scenes in two different locations. First, he listened to arguments regarding the ongoing legal debate of presidential immunity in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday.
On Thursday, he was present for closing arguments in the civil fraud trial in New York City. He called the legal battles that he has been facing “election interference” and strongly asserted that “Crooked Joe Biden” was responsible for utilizing the justice system to attack his top political opponent in 2024.
“My legal issues, every one of them, every one – civil and the criminal ones – are all set up by Joe Biden,” Trump said on Thursday.
Despite the ongoing “legal issues,” Trump is enjoying more widespread support than ever in 2024, foreshadowing what could be a political earthquake in November at the ballot box as American are poised to reject establishment politicians and return to America First leadership.
