Ahead of the 2022 midterm elections, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, has more cash on hand than even House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.
The Federal Elections Commission reported that Jordan has $8.5 million in cash on hand, while McCarthy has $8.3 million.
After gaining momentum during the Trump administration, the congressman is clearly favored by the American people as he has far outraised his counterparts in Ohio. Jordan has also raised more money than many of his Democrat colleagues. Democrat Rep. Joyce Beatty, from the Columbus area, only boasts $1.5 million cash on hand for this election cycle.
The congressman regularly joins national news outlets to discuss hot button topics and issues affecting the country. He has taken a strong stance against Big Tech censorship as well as Covid mandates.
Jordan champions himself as a fiscal conservative who “believes that families and taxpayers, rather than government, know best how to make decisions with their money,” according to his House website.
