Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., announced Saturday that his campaign had raised more than five million dollars in support of his reelection bid for Congress.

Gaetz wrote on Twitter, “Thanks to the support of over 100,000 donors our campaign has raised over $5m.”

While Gaetz’s fundraising numbers are impressive, the number of Americans supporting him and donating to his campaign for Congress is even more remarkable. Expressing his commitment to the American people supporting him, Gaetz wrote, “I refuse donations from lobbyists & PACs. I work for you, not them.”

Matt Gaetz demonstrates his loyalty to the American people by standing against the Washington establishment. Gaetz even hosts a weekly podcast called “Firebrand with Matt Gaetz,” providing Americans with a glimpse of the political swamp in the nation’s capital.

His website explains, “Congressman Gaetz tackles the most important issues of our time without holding back any punches. No spin, no lies, all hard-hitting truths.”

Gaetz has taken criticism for exposing the events of Jan. 6. The media and establishment politicians have attempted to stop his efforts to expose the truth; however, as he reiterated in his statement, the conservative movement he is a part of “will not be stopped.”

“Your prayers, cheers, kindness and even criticisms make me a better congressman,” Gaetz added in his Saturday statement.

The congressman’s devotion to the people he represents is perhaps most evident in his acceptance of criticism. Gaetz encourages feedback from his constituents so that he can become an even better representative of the American people.

Gaetz concluded his message with an uplifting prediction for his campaign and the conservative movement growing across the nation, saying, “We will not be stopped. We will Save America.”
