Report: NSBA coordinated with Biden White House before sending a letter calling parents ‘domestic terrorists’

New emails reportedly show that the National School Board Association worked with the White House and the Department of Justice before sending the now infamous letter to Joe Biden which compared parents protesting Critical Race Theory and mask mandates to “domestic terrorists.”

The emails obtained by Fox News described a Sept. 14 meeting of the NSBA Organization of State Association Executive Directors liaison group.

They were told that there had been a meeting with White House staff the morning of the NSBA meeting. “Then, on September 17, the interim Executive Director emailed a notice to the state association executive directors that indicated a letter requesting federal assistance would be sent,” according to Fox News.

As you may recall, on Oct. 4, Attorney General Merrick Garland sent a memo to FBI Director Christopher Wray in which he ordered the FBI to work with local leaders nationwide to help address a “disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence” against educators and school board members over mask mandates and the teaching of Critical Race Theory in schools.

Garland claims he based his memo to the FBI off a September letter from the NSBA requesting that the attorney general act against parents they labeled as “domestic terrorists.”

It now appears that the America First Legal Foundation had good cause to accuse the NSBA of coordinating with the White House and DOJ.

Last month,  the America First Legal Foundation, sent a letter to Inspector General Michael Horowitz—of Russia Spy gate fame—to investigate Merrick Garland, the DOJ, and the Biden White House for acting to deny parents their constitutional rights to speech and association.

America First Legal wrote, “Key Biden Administration stakeholders, including the National Education Association, the American Federation of Teachers, and others, have combined to oppress, threaten, and intimidate parents to chill and prevent them from exercising the rights or privileges secured by the Constitution.”

The written request to Horowitz questioned the short time frame between the association’s letter to the Biden administration and the Oct. 4 Garland memo to the FBI.

As of this writing, Attorney General Garland has not responded to the newly revealed emails.
