President Donald Trump is the king of campaign fundraising, and this week, a special event on Thursday evening at his home, Mar-a-Lago, in West Palm Beach, Florida, strongly illustrated just how supportive his base is.
According to Politico, the fundraiser raked in around $6 million, marking a historic haul for the Trump campaign.
Per RSBN, Trump brought in a staggering amount of money in the third quarter of 2023, raking in $45.5 million with more than $37.5 million cash on hand. The second quarter of fundraising brought in $35 million for the Trump campaign, and the first quarter raked in $18.1 million.
President Trump has strongly increased his fundraising power by millions of dollars every quarter as he continues to inch closer to the 2024 primary election cycle.
Per Politico, Trump delivered a speech on Thursday that was more than an hour and a half long. His appearance at Mar-a-Lago also comes amid his ongoing civil fraud trial in New York City, where the president was present this week in the courtroom.
Guests like comedienne Roseanne Barr, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., Trump attorney and spokeswoman Alina Habba, and California radio personality and former presidential candidate Larry Elder were in attendance.
When the numbers for Trump’s third quarter of campaign fundraising were released in early October, the campaign noted that the president’s ability to raise astounding amounts of money was due to the “overwhelming grassroots support behind President Trump” heading into 2024.
Trump’s Thursday fundraising event was yet another indication that the president’s reelection bid continues to gain strength as 2023 draws to a close.
