Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, slammed the Biden regime on Friday for the latest decision that could lead to an escalation of World War III amid the activation of thousands of U.S. reserve troops who are aimed at supporting military operations in Europe.

Cruz wrote on Twitter, “This is reckless & dangerous. I want to see Putin defeated, but UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should U.S. servicemen & women be sent to fight in Ukraine.”

Biden’s order to activate the reservists have continued to point toward a growing international conflict as many Americans fear that the U.S. is marching into World War Three.

“Biden’s weakness started this war & now he’s threatening to put our military in a shooting war with Russia,” Cruz continued.

Per Politico, director of operations for the Join Staff, Lt. Gen. Doulas Sims, told the press on Thursday of Biden’s order, “This reaffirms the unwavering support and commitment to the defense of NATO’s eastern flank in the wake of Russia’s illegal and unprovoked war on Ukraine.”

GOP presidential candidate and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, who has risen in popularity among conservatives in the Republican primary race, condemned the mainstream media’s radio silence on the issue.

“The last time there was an IRR call-up was during the Iraq War, when the justification then was nonexistence ‘weapons of mass destruction’ held by Saddam Hussein,” Ramaswamy said in an official statement.

He continued, “What is the justification now? What are the operations? Where will they go? What will they do? We need answers, not sweeping this under the rug as Biden would prefer.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., additionally fired back at House members this week who voted against her amendment on the recent NDAA bill, which would have nixed $300 million in funding for Ukraine’s ongoing military crisis.

“We should be negotiating peace NOT funding and fueling war,” she stated on Thursday.

“The Biden administration is sleepwalking our great country into a World War, and the American people did not sign up for this,” Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., added.
