Former supporters of Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are shifting toward President Donald Trump, offering a new poll advantage in swing states.

A new poll by two groups previously backing Kennedy, American Values ’24 and John Zogby  Strategies, released a survey showing Trump with a 22-point lead over Harris among former Kennedy supporters.

“56% of the Kennedy Cohort now plans to vote Trump, and just 34% plan to vote Harris. As high as 64% of the Kennedy Cohort in Michigan now backs Trump, 62% in Pennsylvania, and 60% in Wisconsin,” American Values ’24 posted to X.

“The Kennedy Cohort is CRUCIAL for Trump in swing states. Kennedy’s supporters are the LARGEST group of ‘likely voters not currently supporting Trump but open to changing their minds,’” the group added.

The group noted that MAHA (Make America Healthy Again) voters have the power to decide the next president of the U.S.

“In short, MAHA has the power to decide the next President. OUR votes will decide the next 4 years. And among Kennedy supporters who are NOT committed to voting Trump, 1/3rd say they’re still open to it. Let’s get them on board!” another post stated.

RSBN previously reported on Kennedy’s decision to withdraw from swing states and endorse Trump in August.

Speaking to supporters, Kennedy shredded the Democratic Party and its blatant installation of Kamala Harris as the party’s nominee. He also slammed what the party has become. “It became the party of war, censorship, corruption, Big Pharma, Big Tech, and Big Money,” he stated.

Kennedy mentioned his plans during his endorsement including references to his family’s long political legacy.

“My dad and uncle made such an enduring mark on the character of our nation, not so much because of any particular policies that they promoted, but because they were able to inspire profound love for our country and to fortify our sense of ourselves as a national community held together by ideals, they were able to put their love into the intentions and hearts of ordinary Americans and to unify a national populist movement of Americans, blacks and whites, Hispanics, urban and rural Americans, inspired affection and love and high hopes and a culture of kindness that continue to radiate among Americans from their memory,” he said.

Kennedy was running for president as an Independent. He originally switched his party affiliation from Democrat to Independent in October 2023.

He soon shared the news during an interview with Tucker Carlson posted to X.

“We’re working on policy issues together,” Kennedy told Carlson during the nearly 90-minute conversation.

“I’ve been asked to go on to the transition team, you know, to help pick the people who will be running the government, and I’m looking forward to that,” Kennedy added.
