“Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening. We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness,” wrote President Donald Trump on Truth Social.
In the aftermath of the assassination attempt on President Donald J. Trump, Americans can find solace that God providentially saved President Trump. With pictures and new details being released almost on an hour-by-hour basis, it’s clear that President Trump escaped death by mere centimeters.
God has chosen President Trump for a divine purpose, and he is under His protection. Supporters of President Trump and all Americans alike can find comfort in God’s sovereign hands. Unfortunately, this heinous act of terror killed one of the attendees of the MAGA rally.
For those familiar with the Scriptures, President Trump’s bravery immediately resembles that of King David, Samson, and Joshua.
“The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion. Proverbs 28:1”
While some might be frantic after nearly escaping death and being grazed by a bullet, President Trump exhibited the warrior mentality that his supporters have seen in him since the beginning of his political career and defiantly faced wickedness head-on.
For those who say there’s no God, they don’t comprehend the Divine’s role in yesterday’s devastating occurrence. Throughout history, God has been with world leaders in difficult-to-explain situations. From the legend of Constantine seeing a cross in the sky before a battle to George Washington being protected by fog as British ships surrounded his location, and now to President Trump being grazed by a bullet that would have killed him, God is at work.
Today is a day to find comfort in Providence, while at the same time falling to our knees to seek understanding and blessings from God.
As Americans rightfully experience a variety of emotions, from sadness to anger, President Trump stands as an example of how to respond to this tragic event appropriately. He’s exercised humility, thankfulness, bravery, and sorrow, setting an example for all Americans.
This Sunday morning, we should praise God for His providence in saving President Trump, pray for the victims and their families who lost their loved ones, and fight for the nation of the United States.
If we learned anything from yesterday’s events, God isn’t done with President Trump. Now, more than ever, he and the nation need prayers.
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23: 4”
