In the wake of an inflammatory video made by six Democratic lawmakers, the FBI is investigating the situation by scheduling interviews amid troubling statements made by those who participated in the filmed segment.

According to Fox News, the FBI and the Department of Justice have reached out to the Capitol Police with the intention of scheduling interviews with the six Democratic lawmakers who participated in a controversial video – a filmed segment that repeatedly urged U.S. servicemembers and members of the U.S. intelligence community to disobey orders from the President of the United States that they may feel are illegal.

Democrat participants in the video included: Sen. Mark Kelly (Ariz.), Sen. Elissa Slotkin (Mi.), Rep. Maggie Goodlander (N.H.), Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (Pa.), Rep. Jason Crow (Colo.), and Rep. Chris Deluzio (Pa.).

“You can refuse illegal orders,” the video stated, in a direct address to military members and the intelligence community.

The orders they were referring to were never specified, leaving their meaning up to a rather broad interpretation.

President Trump has since been extremely pointed about what he thinks about the Democrat lawmakers’ behavior, describing it as “SEDITION” and accusing them of being “TRAITORS.”

“THERE CAN BE NO OTHER INTERPRETATION OF WHAT THEY SAID!” he argued.

On Monday, the Department of War issued an official statement specifically addressing the actions of Sen. Kelly, a retired U.S. Navy Captain.

“…a thorough review of these allegations has been initiated to determine further actions, which may include recall to active duty for court-martial proceedings or administrative measures,” the department said.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth additionally labeled the six Democrats involved in the video, the “Seditious Six.” He criticized their vague and ambiguous call to disobey non-specific orders and called out their use of “carefully scripted, legal sounding language.”

“In the military, vague rhetoric and ambiguity undermines trust, creates hesitation in the chain of command, and erodes cohesion,” he explained in his statement. “The military already has clear procedures for handling unlawful orders. It does not need political actors injecting doubt into an already clear chain of command. As veterans of various sorts, the Seditious Six knew exactly what they were doing — sowing doubt through a politically-motivated influence operation.”
