The House Oversight Committee announced Thursday that they have obtained emails connecting Joe Biden to an alleged plot to replace the former Ukrainian prosecutor for personal gain.
The committee shared an archived Twitter post showing Biden listening to current White House staffer Amos Hochstein. The post detailed how Hochstein had “multiple conversations” with Burisma and Hunter Biden and captioned the photo, “This is the trip that where Joe Biden later detailed his involvement in getting top prosecutor Viktor Shokin fired.”
According to the New York Post, Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Devon Archer, testified that Shokin “was a threat” to Burisma.
RSBN reported on Archer’s testimony that Hunter was pushed to seek “help” in the matter and that Joe Biden then had dinner with his son and Burisma executives before working to have Shokin fired.
The Washington Examiner also reported Tuesday that State Department emails noted, “Yuri Lutsenko, the prosecutor general who took over for Shokin after his ouster in 2016, had relied on the same lobbyists representing Ukrainian energy company Burisma and its chief executive for years.”
“Hunter Biden personally brought those lobbyists into the Burisma deal in 2015 for the purpose of shutting down investigations of Burisma’s chief executive, according to his own emails,” they added.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., posted about this evidence stating, “The lobbying firm Hunter brought in to help out with Burisma corruption, Blue Star Strategies, turns out to have been simultaneously representing Yuri Lutsenko, who replaced Shokin, according to State Dept. emails.”
She then pointed out the direct conflict of interest and called out Democrats who claimed that Shokin’s firing was not suspicious.
Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., commented on the situation to Fox News.
She said, “This damning picture of then Vice President Joe Biden on Air Force Two en route to Ukraine talking with Amos Hochstein is just further evidence that Biden and senior officials in the Biden Administration not only knew of Hunter Biden’s corrupt foreign business dealings, but also that Joe Biden was intimately involved while Vice President.”
