Judge Juan Merchan has presided over three Trump-related trials in New York in recent years, spurring New York Rep. Elise Stefanik (R) to file a misconduct complaint against him over suspicions concerning his repeated convenient placements.
On Thursday, as the jury in the 34-count criminal trial against President Trump continued to deliberate, a shocking report emerged that demonstrated just how conflicted the judge potentially is.
RSBN previously reported that the judge’s daughter, Loren Merchan, has come under intense scrutiny for allegations that she had utilized political messaging regarding her father’s high-profile case with Trump to drive fundraising for her consulting firm, Authentic Campaigns.
The Trump legal team previously filed a motion to force Judge Merchan’s recusal, which included 22 exhibits related to Ms. Merchan’s alleged political messaging.
In 2023, Real Clear Investigations senior reporter Paul Sperry reported that a now-deleted post from District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s Facebook page uncovered alleged evidence that ActBlue, a Democrat PAC, had organized a “fundraising event for Alvin Bragg and former Schiff impeachment counsel Dan Goldman to ‘discuss Donald Trump and what’s at stake for the next #ManhattanDA.’”
In an update posted on Thursday, Sperry noted:
“UPDATE: Not only did Rep. Goldman collude with D.A. Bragg against Trump, but he also colluded w/ the daughter of Judge Merchan, who’s rigged the Trump trial. FEC vendor records show Goldman made 23 payments totaling $124,500 to Loren Merchan’s Dem consultancy Authentic Campaigns.”
Even more shocking, Sperry alleged that FEC records showed Ms. Merchan raising $9.7 million for her firm from Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020 while they were campaigning for president.
“They paid Loren Merchan’s Dem consulting firm Authentic Campaigns to sway swing-state undecideds thru social media,” he wrote.
The New York Post reported in March that Loren Merchan had been previously employed by Kamala Harris’s previous 2020 presidential campaign as a “director of political persuasion.”
President Trump has been a vocal critic of Judge Merchan, calling him “totally compromised” and accusing him of being tasked with carrying out the Biden regime’s ploy of “election interference.”
In response to speaking out about the alleged connection between Merchan’s daughter and the judge, Merchan slapped Trump with an expansive gag order that has barred the president from speaking about witnesses, jurors, court staff, and members of their family.
