House GOP Conference Chair Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., has committed to holding public hearings on inflation when Republicans take back the House in the midterm elections.

In a tweet on Monday, Stefanik said, “The number one issue facing #NY21 and America is #Bidenflation.”

“Congress should be holding hearings to address America’s skyrocketing inflation, baby formula shortage, historic gas prices, or the historic border crisis,” Stefanik continued.

Stefanik explained that instead of addressing inflation, gas prices, and the other problems currently facing the United States, “House Democrats are pushing Lame Duck Speaker Pelosi’s illegitimate political witch-hunt.”

Appearing on “Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy,” Stefanik reminded Americans that the Democrat-controlled government has “Spent more taxpayer dollars than any other Congress in our nation’s history.”

While the Biden administration argued that passing trillions of dollars in legislative spending would boost the economy, the congresswoman said that economists warned against extravagant spending due to the possibility of “rampant historic inflation.”

Emphasizing the need for public hearings on inflation and the devastating impact of inflation on the American people, Stefanik stated, “Congress should be holding hearings about how we get this tax on ALL Americans under control.”

In a recent appearance on Just the News, Stefanik blasted the Democrat Party for being “out of touch” with the American people. Many Republicans believe the Jan. 6 hearings show how Democrat lawmakers are more committed to destroying the MAGA movement than addressing the serious issues facing the nation.

The Hill reported Monday that 85 percent of voters view inflation as either a somewhat serious or very serious problem. Recent polls have revealed that Americans are deeply concerned about rising gas prices and the increasing cost of food. As Stefanik warned, “Bidenflation will cost the average #NY21 family OVER $5,000 this year.”

Despite the current state of the economy, Stefanik offered hope to the American people, saying, “When Republicans earn back the House this November we will reign in Biden’s out-of-control government spending, which has caused inflation to skyrocket.”
