White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller praised President Donald Trump’s successful efforts to secure the U.S. border and reverse the damage caused by illegal immigration under the Biden administration, highlighting the administration’s victories in restoring American sovereignty.

“When President Trump came into office on January 20, the United States had endured the largest wave of illegal immigration in human history – not just American history, HUMAN history,” Miller said during a roundtable discussion in Ochopee, Florida, at a brand-new migrant detention facility facetiously called “Alligator Alcatraz.”

Miller continued, “And within just a few days, President Trump, through his strength, leadership, diplomacy, and vision, achieved the most secure border anybody in the world has ever seen.”

He said that during a recent trip to the Netherlands for a NATO Summit, senior staff of foreign governments asked him how President Trump had achieved the “’Trump Miracle’ on his border, and could that be replicated in their countries?”

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Border Patrol released an astonishing zero illegal aliens into the interior of the United States in May – a historic feat.

Miller continued, “There is a 2,000-mile border with one of the poorest countries in the world…there are two billion people in the world that would economically benefit from illegally coming to the United States. And through the deployment of the military, through the deployment of novel legal and diplomatic tools, through the building of infrastructure, through the empowering of ICE and Border Patrol, and the entire federal law enforcement apparatus, President Trump achieved absolute border security.”

On Tuesday, the U.S. Senate passed the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which contains several critical items to further fund the president’s border security agenda, as well as promote the hiring of thousands of new Border Patrol and ICE agents.

The bill will head to the U.S. House of Representatives for approval, and if passed, Miller noted Trump would be able to make border security “permanent” by utilizing the resources unlocked in the legislation.
