Steve Bannon, a former White House chief strategist for President Donald Trump, will be released from prison on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

According to Forbes, his 120-day sentence for “contempt of Congress,” will be finished and he can return home.

RSBN reported that House Speaker Mike Johnson attempted to upend the court ruling after Bannon was convicted of two counts of contempt of Congress for refusing to testify against the 45th president after being subpoenaed by former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 committee.

He reported to jail to serve his sentence on July 1, a sentence that America First leaders have openly decried.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., supported his release in a post on X Monday night. She stated, “Steve Bannon is a political prisoner like many others unjustly prosecuted by the Biden/Harris admin.”

“Steve will be released from prison next week however it’s wrong that he was denied his rights for early release under the First Step Act,” she added. “Vote for Trump to end this nightmare!”
