On Monday, a trans woman walked into a Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee, and mercilessly gunned down six people, including three children. According to Fox News, the shooter was fatally shot by two Nashville police officers, Rex Englebert and Michael Collazo, who are now being hailed as heroes for their actions in halting any further killings.
Unfortunately, the trans shooter, a 28-year-old woman named Audrey Hale, is symptomatic of a deep and infectious disease that has been spreading through America for quite some time: an institutionalized and celebrated hostility toward Christians and the Christian-Judeo worldview.
Transgender ideology and its growing hostility
The LGBTQ agenda has swept the nation over the past 15 years, leaving multiple moral casualties in its wake. From Pride Month to transgender ideology in the classroom, the sexually fueled gender platform has seeped into kids’ movies, public school curriculum, and popular culture. Like communism, radical gender theory does not simply aim to reshape culture’s ideas of sex and sexuality – it aims to destroy them completely.
Charlie Kirk, the president and founder of Turning Point USA, pointed out on Instagram that four major shooters over the past several years have reportedly identified as either transgender or nonbinary in the following shootings: Colorado Springs, Denver, Aberdeen, and now, Nashville.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Twitter account was suspended in the last week for condemning an upcoming event at the U.S. Supreme Court by transgender activists called the “Trans Day of Vengeance.” In fact, violent rhetoric seems to follow the transgender movement wherever it goes, as its proponents elevate the core tenants of transgenderism, which demands fealty to radical gender theories at the expense of both logical thought and civility.
The dogmatic response to defend this platform from far-left activists and politicians is alarming. For example, the press secretary in the Arizona governor’s office, Josselyn Berry, posted a threatening image in the wake of the Nashville shooting. Charlie Kirk shared the image on Twitter:
GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake further commented on the image, blasting the insane double standard in media bias when it comes to protecting their agenda.
“If a conservative made light of a mass shooting & called for more violence, they’d be personally & professionally destroyed,” Lake wrote. “But a member of Katie Hobbs’ staff did just that & the media is silent. We don’t partake in cancel culture – but the media’s bias has never been clearer.”
Allie Beth Stuckey, political commentator and host of “Relatable,” remarked on Twitter of the mainstream media’s seemingly sympathetic coverage of the Nashville mass shooter, “Where things stand: Christians are being blamed for another’s person murder because they hold to the first chapter of the first book of the Bible: ‘male and female He created them.’”
Her comment was a reaction to a story from a mainstream outlet, which included photos of the murderer instead of the innocent victims. The story included the headline: “TRANS OUTCAST.”
In the eyes of the mainstream media and the trans community, the Nashville shooter seems to be seen as some kind of martyr for the transgender movement. The Post Millennial reported that the shooter was undergoing treatment for an emotional disorder prior to the shooting and had amassed a stockpile of seven guns. Per the outlet, the manifesto has not been released to the public in light of reports that trans activists are potentially threatening violence if it is disseminated.
Like the Marxist teachings that are being promulgated in public schools through the treacherous core values of Critical Race Theory, what happened in Nashville is, in part, a result of leftist hostility toward Christian-Judeo values.
A new religion in our schools
Not every Founding Father was a Christian, but at the time of the United States’ birth as a nation, the colonies operated within the context of Christian-Judeo culture. The core Biblical tenants of morality were accepted as not only the standard of personal behavior, but as the standard for justice. It has been this Christian heritage that has fostered freedom, individuality, and true diversity throughout America since its inception.
Sadly, Marxist dogma, when combined with radical gender theory, sees Christianity and its structured view of God’s creation as its nemesis.
“The trans movement is the mirror image of Christianity, and therefore its natural enemy,” Tucker Carlson stated this week on his show, “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” on Fox News.
He explained:
“So, it’s not an actual threat of violence from Christians that’s inspiring some trans people to buy AR-15s. No, it’s got to be more fundamental than that. And it is. The trans movement is the mirror image of Christianity, and therefore its natural enemy. In Christianity, the price of admission is admitting that you’re not God. Christians openly concede that they have no real power over anything – and for that matter, very little personal virtue. They will tell you to your face that they are sinful and helpless and basically absurd….the trans movement takes the opposite view. Trans ideology claims dominion over nature itself. We can change the identity we were born with, they will tell you….Christians can never agree with this statement because these are powers that they believe God alone possesses.”
He noted that the Christian community’s failure to acknowledge human dominion over nature itself “incites and enrages some in the trans community.”
Transgenderism promotes the idea that men can be women and that women can be men, while the Christian value system holds to the straightforward teaching of Genesis 5:2: “Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created.”
“The Marxism being preached in our schools is also totally hostile to Judeo-Christian teachings, and in many ways, it’s resembling an established new religion,” President Trump recently remarked in January, taking a stand against radical Marxism and gender ideology in American education.
He added, “As the saying goes, personnel is policy and at the end of the day, if we have pink-haired communists teaching our kids, we have a major problem.”
Violent rhetoric and behavior against Christians in school and beyond will only continue to get worse until the madness of Marxist gender dogma is put to rest once and for all – and that means keeping it out of America’s classrooms and away from our children.
Christianity is in retreat
The loudest person in the room typically garners the most attention, and right now, the transgender platform has accrued the national spotlight. Christianity and its values seems to be shrinking into the background in the face of the far left’s constant spiteful rhetoric that labels the Biblical worldview as “bigoted” or “hateful” toward the trans community.
At the end of the day, the Christian-Judeo culture looks to God as not only the creator of this world, but as the definer of biological sex and moral order. “People who believe they’re God can’t stand to be reminded that they’re not,” Tucker Carlson added in his monologue this week.
Christianity is no longer the prevailing worldview in America, and unfortunately, we can see the rotten fruit that our crumbling society continues to bear in the wake of a postmodern and post-truth culture. Christians will continue to bear the brunt of leftist and gender ideology’s attacks if these ideas are continually propagated and celebrated in the public and educational sphere.
