President Donald Trump on Tuesday pulled no punches when it came to leading the way in the conflict in the Middle East, holding Israel and Iran’s feet to the fire on their ceasefire agreements, while acknowledging the risks Joe Biden introduced to America due to the past administration’s open border policies.
Amid overnight reports that Iran and Israel had violated the ceasefire agreement, Trump slammed both countries while speaking to the press Tuesday morning, noting that he was unhappy with both.
“We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the fuck they’re doing,” he remarked, clearly upset with the Middle Eastern region’s unwillingness to put down their weapons.
However, Trump clarified on Truth Social that the ceasefire was indeed still in effect despite the shaky start, writing with authority, “ISRAEL is not going to attack Iran. All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly ‘Plan Wave’ to Iran.”
The statement seemed to act as a clear warning to Israel to cool off, especially on the heels of a preceding note on his social media platform that read: “ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!”
While the ceasefire itself has proven to be a headache for President Trump – who has gone above and beyond in his efforts to protect American sovereignty while keeping Israel and Iran’s bloodlust at bay – it also poses another question: in the wake of U.S. strikes again Iranian nuclear facilities, is America at risk for a terrorist attack?
Biden’s open border policies left the door ajar
Years of inept and feckless leadership from the Biden administration facilitated the world’s worst border invasion, allowing millions of unvetted migrants to flow into the United States.
Just this week, ICE arrested eleven Iranian foreign nationals spanning eight states – individuals with alleged connections to Hezbollah and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, per CBS.
This is disturbing enough on its own, but add to that the president’s comments about the situation on Air Force One Tuesday morning, and a grim picture arises: Biden facilitated an incursion of potential foreign terrorist cells on American soil.
While speaking to the press, Trump called Biden “incompetent” and said the previous president “had no idea what he was doing.”
He added, “Among everything else, he let a lot of supercells in – many from Iran – but hopefully we’ll take care of them. What Biden did to this country should never be forgotten.”
President Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan also weighed in on the risk of Iranian terror cells in the United States this week, telling Fox Business that it was a “significant threat.”
“For four years, my biggest concern is the open border causing the biggest national security vulnerability this nation has ever seen,” he said.
Homan added that the average “gotaways” per day during the Biden administration clocked in at a whopping 1,800. “…These are people we knew came to the United States, we don’t know who they are, where they came from, [or] why they’re here,” he said.
Bondi says Iranians are here illegally
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi also addressed this critical issue on Monday, telling House Appropriations committee members that there are “well over” 1,000 Iranian nationals who have entered the U.S. between 2021 and 2024, as reported by RSBN.
“Well over 1,000 have entered our country, and I can tell you we are on high alert and everyone is looking at that very closely,” she said.
On Sunday, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security issues a national terrorism advisory system bulletin, highlighting the situation in Iran. This was before the ceasefire was announced on Monday, but the fact remains: Iranian nationals may not be so quick to forget about America’s bunker busters.
“The likelihood of violent extremists in the Homeland independently mobilizing to violence in response to the conflict would likely increase if Iranian leadership issued a religious ruling calling for retaliatory violence against targets in the Homeland,” the advisory read.
Staying alert but unafraid
The Trump administration is clearly aware and awake to the possibility of independent Iranian terrorist threats on American soil, but it is infuriating that this problem was facilitated by a total lack of immigration enforcement during the Biden years.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott allegedly warned the agency that threats of sleeper cells in the U.S. are high, in a memo obtained and reported on by The Hill.
“Though we have not received any specific credible threats to share with you all currently, the threat of sleeper cells or sympathizers acting on their own, or at the behest of Iran has never been higher,” the memo allegedly read.
While it’s unclear if anything will actually materialize as far as the threat of sleeper cells in the U.S., it’s a relief to know that Trump administration officials are not ignoring the situation. Sadly, it proves President Trump absolutely correct: Biden’s border invasion was a betrayal of American sovereignty.
“There is NO greater act of disloyalty than to extinguish the sovereignty of your own nation,” Trump said in September 2024.
