President Trump has knocked it out of the park again in the newest data from Morning Consult’s 2024 GOP Primary Tracker. Per their survey, which was conducted among 3,549 potential Republican voters between Feb. 3-5, Trump is continuing to gain momentum in his domination over a field of potential candidates.
Their survey found that Trump held 49 percent of Republican support, compared to Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., who netted 31 percent. In late January, Trump held 48 percent of the vote in the same poll.
In the latest results, Former Vice President Mike Pence garnered seven percent of Republican support, while former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley snagged three percent.
There is speculation that Haley may announce a presidential bid on Feb. 15 after hinting that she would be throwing her hat in the ring. As reported by RSBN, Haley had previously promised not to run for president if President Trump was running for office at the same time.
“Nikki has to follow her heart, not her honor. She should definitely run!” Trump commented on the news.
Despite Trump’s domination in the Republican presidential primary polls, Trump warned Americans this week to be wary of “corrupt” polls often utilized as a “political weapon.”
“Polls are important, but many have proven to be so corrupt, wrong, or incompetent in the past, especially, those of ABC FAKE NEWS/WASHINGTON COMPOST; FOX FAKE NEWS; and NBC FAKE NEWS/GLOBALIST STREET JOURNAL, that they have become somewhat meaningless, just a political weapon,” he wrote.
However, he noted, “For all of my many supporters, and the number is higher than ever before, I am pleased to report that ‘our’ Poll numbers are Excellent.”
Morning Consult’s newest poll found that other popular conservative leaders like Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, or Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, did not net more than five percent of the vote, with Abbott netting one percent and Cruz managing to accrue two percent, respectively.
