During a Wednesday morning interview with Fox Business, Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., urged his colleagues to support the articles of impeachment he filed against Kamala Harris on Tuesday.

Ogles told host Maria Bartiromo, “We have a crisis at the southern border. We are being invaded. Our kids, our streets are being poisoned by fentanyl, and then crime has run rampant.”

Ogles reminded viewers that Harris was Biden’s border czar, and told Bartiromo, “We have to hold her accountable and start defining her for her failures.”

Ogles emphasized the need to shine a light on Harris’s track record “because the woke media is going to be complicit in trying to cover up her past in the same way they were complicit in covering up for Joe Biden.” He continued, telling Bartiromo, “And so we can’t sit back and just wait for them to do this. We’ve got to be aggressive. We’ve got to define the message as we go forward.”

After filing the impeachment articles, Ogles told the Daily Caller that Harris “knowingly breached the public’s trust by failing to invoke the 25th Amendment after it became clear that Joe Biden was mentally and physically unfit to serve as president.”

Additionally, Ogles said, “Time and time again, Kamala Harris has refused to uphold her oath to the U.S. Constitution, and she must be impeached. Her breathtaking incompetence as Border Czar has allowed a crisis of drugs, rape, and murder to flood the streets of America.”

In a Tuesday post on X, formerly Twitter, Ogles wrote, “VP Harris betrayed the trust of the American people, which is one of the reasons I introduced articles to impeach her today.”

“The time to act is now,” Rep. Ogles wrote.
