Trump admin poised to deport thousands of illegals to GITMO in coming days, report says

The Trump administration may be poised to send thousands of illegal aliens packing to GITMO in the coming days and weeks, according to a new report, in what would be a strong continuation of the president’s ordered nationwide deportation operation.

According to a report from Politico, up to 9,000 potential illegal migrants are allegedly being “vetted for transfer,” based on documents reviewed by the outlet.

This comes after the president kicked off his second term by immediately starting deportation flights, which have been bringing illegal entrants back to their countries of origin.

“President Trump is sending a strong and clear message to the entire world: if you illegally enter the United States, you will face severe consequences,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in January.

This also comes amid the administration’s strong push for the passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which would provide funding to hire thousands of new ICE and Border Patrol agents, as well as customs officers. It would also provide $10,000 bonuses for these agents.

In May, Border Czar Tom Homan told Fox Business that 100,000 deportations had already been achieved since the president took office. “We’ve got a long way to go,” he said, noting that the worst offenders with criminal records hadn’t all yet been removed from American soil.

“We’re going to increase of the number of the operations teams, we’re going to increase worksite enforcement,” he said, explaining that in “sanctuary cities,” their plan was to “flood the zones with agents.”

In January, Trump signed an executive order directing the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security to begin prepping Guantanamo Bay to receive the most egregious illegal alien criminals. According to RSBN, the facility has a capacity of up to 30,000 prisoners.

“Some of them are so bad we don’t even trust the countries to hold them,” Trump explained upon announcing the order. “Because we don’t want them back, so we’re going to send them out to Guantanamo…that’s a tough place to get out of.”
