The Trump administration smashed a report from a big media outlet that alleged the president recently faced a health crisis, calling such claims and allegations “BS” and “Fake News” on social media.
The White House, via Rapid Response 47 on X, responded to a jarring headline from prominent anti-Trump outlet, the “Daily Beast,” that claimed the president “suffered a stroke several months ago and has kept it from the public.”
The outlet cited a “medical expert” as their source for this story, Professor Bruce Davidson of Washington State University’s Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine.
In the article, reporter Ewan Palmer cited claims from Mr. Davidson, who remarked during a podcast interview recently that he believed the president had suffered a stroke “on the left side of his brain” about six months ago or earlier in 2025.
“Another day, another BS Fake News ‘story’ from the Daily Beast,” Rapid Response fired back. “President Trump is in excellent health, despite all of your deranged wishcasting.”
This is not the first time that the legacy media has attacked President Trump over his health during his first year back in the White House. In November, the president shredded the “creeps” at The New York Times for writing a report alleging “signs of fatigue” were present with the Commander-in-Chief.
“They know this is wrong, as is almost every thing that they write about me, including election results, ALL PURPOSELY NEGATIVE. This cheap ‘RAG’ is truly an ‘ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE,’” President Trump said in a fiery statement last fall.
The president has also been extremely forthcoming about his medical examinations over the past year. In December, he revealed that he had taken a cognitive exam and “aced” it, marking the third time, he said, he has taken such a test and released his results to the public.
“In addition to the Medical, I have done something that no other President has done, on three separate occasions, the last one being recently, by taking what is known as a Cognitive Examination, something which few people would be able to do very well, including those working at The New York Times, and I ACED all three of them in front of large numbers of doctors and experts, most of whom I do not know,” he remarked last month.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt issued a statement to the Daily Beast in response to their reporting on the president’s health: “As the President’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, has made clear time and again—and as the American people see with their own eyes every single day—President Trump remains in excellent overall health.”
She also issued a second statement, shared by the outlet, that pointedly hit back at their reporting: “These allegations are absolute bulls–t and perhaps even slanderous. The individual making this false claim is a left-wing nut job and Democrat activist.”
