The White House shared a statement on Thursday morning celebrating President Trump’s accomplishments in guaranteeing religious liberty for Americans. The statement came ahead of President Trump’s speech at the National Prayer Breakfast, where he emphasized the importance of faith in America and reiterated his commitment to preserving American values.
“America is, and always will be, One Nation Under God,” the statement read. “President Trump has taken bold action to safeguard our God-given rights & religious freedoms—reversing Joe Biden’s divisive policies that weaponized the federal gov against faithful Americans.”
The actions taken by the Trump administration included the recent arrests made by the Department of Justice (DOJ) following an alleged attack on a church in Minnesota, and investigations by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) into healthcare facilities that encroach upon workers’ rights of conscience. According to HHS, the investigation stemmed from facilities allegedly pressuring technicians to conduct ultrasounds during abortion procedures, despite religious objections.
The statement noted reversals of policies set under the Biden administration, such as the removal of speech censorship on military chaplains. The White House also acknowledged the restoration of disaster relief eligibility for faith-based organizations by the Small Business Administration (SBA), which was initiated in July 2025 with the establishment of the Center for Faith. The program was designed to expand access to resources for religious organizations and to end practices that discriminate on the basis of faith.
In addition to praising President Trump’s strong leadership in guaranteeing religious liberty, the White House statement highlighted the administration’s “top wins” in securing the God-given rights that underpin the idea of liberty in America. The statement cited President Trump’s bold action on freedom of speech, including executive orders to end oppressive practices such as federal censorship and debanking based on individual beliefs.
