President Donald Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis have cleared the air regarding their rocky relationship as Trump forges ahead into the thick of campaign season for the 2024 presidential election.
Confirming reports about a meeting in South Florida, President Trump proudly announced on Truth Social on Monday that he is “very happy to have the full and enthusiastic support of Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida.”
Calling it a “great meeting” arranged by mutual friend Steve Witkoff, President Trump described their discussion. “The conversation mostly concerned how we would work closely together to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,” he said, adding, “Also discussed was the future of Florida, which is FANTASTIC!”
The new update on Trump and DeSantis’s relationship comes after a tense primary election season, which DeSantis ultimately dropped out of in January after coming in second place in the Iowa caucus. The Florida governor then put his support behind Trump.
Now it appears that DeSantis is ready to help President Trump secure a resounding victory in November.
“I greatly appreciate Ron’s support in taking back our Country from the Worst President in the History of the United States,” said Trump. “November 5th is a BIG DAY!!!”
