President Donald Trump announced new leaders in his administration over the weekend, including the addition of journalist Sara Carter and former Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich.

The president shared the updates in multiple posts to his Truth Social account.

“It is my great honor to announce Sara Carter as our next Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). Sara is an Award Winning Journalist, who has been on the front lines of this International Fight for decades,” Trump wrote.

“From Afghanistan to our Border, Sarah’s relentless pursuit of Justice, especially in tackling the Fentanyl and Opioid Crisis, has exposed terrorists, drug lords, and sex traffickers. As our next Drug Czar, Sara will lead the charge to protect our Nation, and save our children from the scourge of drugs,” he added. “Congratulations Sara!”

Carter shared a statement on X following Trump’s news of her appointment.

“It is truly an honor to serve President Donald J. Trump and be part of an administration committed to putting America first. I pledge to work tirelessly every day to identify the challenges we face and find the solutions that will Make America Safe Again, freeing us from the grip of deadly substances like fentanyl, heroin, opioids, and other dangerous drugs,” she wrote.

“I am ready to serve at the pleasure of the President, bringing with me years of experience in investigating cartels, terrorists, human and drug traffickers. My greatest desire is to ensure this nation remains secure and safe—for my children, and for yours. America’s greatest resource is our people and it will be up to each and every one of us to do our part – I promise you I will never stop fighting,” she continued.

Fox News also noted the success of their former contributor.

“As a journalist, Carter, who was a Fox News contributor, did extensive reporting on the border, particularly during the Biden administration when immigration policies were more lax. She called for stronger border policies due to the massive amount of drug and human trafficking occurring,” the outlet wrote.

In addition to Carter, Trump announced the addition of Brnovich as the next ambassador to Serbia.

“I am pleased to announce that Mark Brnovich will be our next United States Ambassador to Serbia. Mark is a proud Veteran of the Army National Guard, and previously served as Attorney General for the Great State of Arizona. As the son of refugees who fled communism, Mark will be a strong advocate for Freedom, and always put AMERICA FIRST. Congratulations Mark!” Trump wrote.
