President Donald Trump announced plans to offer a new tax break for family caregivers, he announced during his Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday.
The policy aims to support tax credits for those who care for a parent or other loved one.
“I’m announcing a new policy today that I will support a tax credit for family caregivers who take care of a parent or a loved one. It’s about time that they were recognized, right?” the 45th president announced to some 20,000 supporters.
“They add so much to our country and are never spoken of ever, ever, ever. But they’re going to be spoken of now. Thank you all very much,” he continued.
The announcement followed his words that echoed former President Ronald Reagan, asking if the audience was “better off” than four years ago.
“I’m thrilled to be back in the city I love, and thousands of proud, hard-working American patriots here with me, we’re all together, we’ve always been together. And I’d like to begin by asking a very simple question: are you better off now than you were four years ago?” Trump asked.
The crowd replied with a resounding, “No!”
As RSBN previously reported, the all-star lineup of guests included Trump’s running mate JD Vance, House Speaker Mike Johnson, Rep. Elise Stefanik, Rep. Byron Donalds and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
Former Democrats Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard were also among the special guests.
