President Donald Trump’s campaign announced on Monday that he will hold a rally in Aurora, Colorado, a city known as a “war zone” over violent Venezuelan prison gang members from Tren de Aragua.
Trump’s rally will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. Mountain Time at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center.
“With approximately 43,000 migrants flooding the neighboring city of Denver since December 2022, many of these migrants have made their way to Aurora, bringing chaos and fear with them,” the announcement stated.
“Local families have been forced to flee their homes as Tren de Aragua members terrorize apartment complexes with guns, theft, and rampant drug activity. Kamala Harris’ open-border policies are turning once-safe communities into nightmares for law-abiding citizens,” it added.
Nearby Denver, a sanctuary city, has become overwhelmed by recent migrant activity.
“In one year alone, the hospital spent a staggering $10 million on 20,000 visits by illegal migrants. Emergency room visits by Venezuelans in Denver surged by 6,000 percent, further depleting already scarce resources,” the announcement reported, citing the Washington Examiner.
Tren de Aragua gang members have taken over apartment complexes in Aurora in recent months.
“Aurora police have linked at least 10 individuals to the Tren de Aragua gang, with eight of them already arrested for crimes ranging from shootings to assaults,” the Trump campaign stated.
“These violent criminals are destroying the safety and security of Aurora’s apartment complexes, and yet, the Harris-Biden administration continues to allow illegal immigrants to cross the borders unchecked,” it continued.
As RSBN recently reported, Trump announced upcoming visits to Springfield, Ohio, and Aurora, Colorado, following surging migrant crime under the Biden-Harris administration. He shared the provocative plans during his Wednesday night rally in Uniondale, New York.
“I’m going to go there in the next two weeks. I’m going to Springfield and I’m going to Aurora,” Trump said.
A trip to Springfield has currently been placed on hold at the request of the town’s Republican mayor.
