President Donald Trump held a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, offering clarity on key issues like illegal immigration, the war in Eastern Europe, and projected tariff revenue for the United States.

The president said on the subject of potential amnesty for illegal farm workers in the United States, the priority was to “get rid of criminals” and looked to implement a new work program, spearheaded by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins.

“There’s no amnesty,” Trump said. “But we are doing a work program.”

Just hours before the cabinet meeting, Rollins told reporters in Washington, D.C., that there was “no amnesty under any circumstances,” reiterating the administration’s commitment to mass deportations.

However, during the cabinet meeting, she explained the vision for “no amnesty, mass deportation continues, but in a strategic way, and then ensuring that our farmers have the labor that they need.”

She emphasized a movement toward automation and an entirely American workforce.

“We’re going to give the farmers the people they need, but we’re not talking amnesty,” Trump emphasized.

As reported by RSBN, there has been intense reporting over the past few days suggesting that powerful voices in the White House have been allegedly advocating for a bipartisan amnesty deal for illegal workers in agriculture, but Tuesday’s comments from the president seem to confirm this is not the case.

Other important issues were also discussed during the cabinet meeting, including projections for revenue soon to be taken in from Trump’s tariff policies.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the U.S. would likely take in around $100 billion in tariff income “thus far this year,” before Trump’s newest round of tariffs even kicks in.

“We could expect that that could be well over $300 billion by the end of the year,” Bessent said.

Other important bullet points of the day included:

  • The president confirmed that he would visit Kerr County, Texas, on Friday with First Lady Melania Trump to survey the tragic flash flooding that claimed the lives of dozens of people, including children. “What a tragic situation,” he said. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem praised the strength of Texans and vowed to assist in continuing the search for survivors,
  • The president praised the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which he signed into law last week. “Frankly, every Democrat should lose their election,” he remarked, criticizing their unilateral opposition to the legislation,
  • Trump offered clarity on why the United States will be sending defensive weapons to Ukraine, amid outcry from conservatives who oppose such a measure. “Putin is not treating human beings right, he’s killing too many people, so we’re sending some defense weapons to Ukraine,” he said.
  • Trump slammed Russian President Vladimir Putin and said the European leader had thrown a lot of “bullshit.” Trump also accused Putin of being “very nice, all the time, but it turns out to be meaningless,”
  • Trump described mellowing inflation as a “tax cut,” when praised for easing prices nationwide by the Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum,
  • And finally, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff announced that the Trump team is in “proximity talks” in the Middle East and remains hopeful that by the end of this week, “we will have an agreement that will bring us into a 60-day ceasefire.” Witkoff also anticipated the release of 10 live hostages and nine deceased.
