The Trump campaign is continuing to hammer Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., amid the governor’s beleaguered 2024 presidential bid, which has fallen shockingly flat over the past four months.

In a facetious but scorching move, Trump’s campaign is participating in what they’re calling a “KISS OF DEATH COUNTDOWN,” based on an assessment from Jeff Roe, a political strategist associated with DeSantis’s “Never Back Down” PAC.

On Friday, the campaign sent out an email marking just “32 Days Left” from Roe’s apparent August 24 prediction that Gov. DeSantis had just “60 days” to “beat Trump,” according to the campaign.

In an official email, the Trump campaign stated, “On August 24, 2023, Always Back Down consultant Jeff Roe gave Ron DeSantctimonious 60 days to ‘beat Trump.’ With just one month left to turn his failing campaign around, things have gone from bad to worse for DeSanctus. After sliding into third in South Carolina and fifth in New Hampshire, the buzz surrounding Ron has universally shifted to talks of DeSanctus dropping out.”

Objectively, DeSantis’s presidential bid has been on a steep descent over the summer, as the Florida governor has continued to lose significant percentage points in GOP presidential polling not only in key battleground states but also nationwide.

For example, DeSantis has fallen to a shocking fifth place in a UNH Survey Center poll looking at the New Hampshire GOP primary, demonstrating a hefty loss for DeSantis in the important Granite State.

On a national scale, Trump is holding 59 percent of support among Republican primary voters, according to new data from Emerson College polling.

A spokesperson for President Trump, Steven Cheung, expanded on DeSantis’s 2024 presidential campaign, stating, “Jeff Roe’s kiss of death has proven to be prescient as Ron DeSanctimonious’ campaign is dead on arrival after a brutal week where he embarrassed himself in Texas amid cratering poll numbers. Back home in Florida, even his closest allies have started to plot against DeSanctus after they smell blood in the water from their severely wounded governor.”
