The Trump campaign released a new video late Wednesday featuring support from several Black women voters that has quickly turned viral.
The “I’m Not with Her” clip was released to YouTube and other social media outlets after first being shared with NBC News.
“I and millions of others Black Americans will cast my vote for Donald J. Trump,” Bebe Diamond of New York City said in the video.
The NBC News report also included commentary from Janiyah Thomas, director of the Trump campaign’s Black media.
“Black voters have been taken for granted by the Democratic Party for years, but President Trump’s message is resonating at historic levels because he is doing the work and meeting voters where they are,” said Thomas.
The Harris campaign has claimed widespread support from Black women, but Trump’s video reveals that not everyone is on board with the left’s policies.
A Pew Research Center poll released last week showed that 77 percent of Black voters lean toward Harris. The total included 79 percent of Black women.
The number is stronger than the 64 percent of Black voters who supported President Joe Biden in 2020, according to the survey. However, the percentage marks a strong drop from the over 90 percent of Black female voters who supported former President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012.
In addition, recent polls may not accurately reflect the nationwide attitudes of many voters. The Trump campaign expressed its concerns with Fox News polling in a statement released on Thursday.
“President Trump continues to outperform polling from past cycles. President Trump is 10 points ahead of where he was in Arizona at this point in 2020, according to Fox,” the statement said.
“Likewise, he is running 8 points ahead of his 2020 polling in Nevada and 5 points ahead of his 2020 polling in North Carolina,” it added. “We see the same trend nationwide.”
The statement also noted the example of Pennsylvania, where the RealClearPolitics average shows Trump 6 points higher than at the same time in 2020 and 9.4 points higher than where he was in 2016.
